As Operation Minotaur approaches, the stakes, as if we needed to be reminded, are brought into sharp focus.

The glyphs represent both a massive unknown and a treasure chest to those interested in the power of Exotic Matter and Portals.

Information in the IQTech Research document releasing the details of Operation Minotaur suggested that Agents from around the world could 'impact' the Anomaly by building Shaper Glyphs using Links and Fields, but is suspiciously vague on details. We know very little, and we are playing with a very, very hot fire in a world filled with straw.

Today started well.

The Resistance finally emerged from the cocoon and showed just how masterfully we can control the ground when we put our minds to it. Operation Minotaur ended, the Resistance had won, not in drops but in rivers.

Then, my phone chimed. Another leak, maybe something about Carrie Campbell, she was after all the focus of all this.

As I read the document I had just been sent, the floor fell from beneath me. No news of Carrie, yet. But something alarming nonetheless. I had been worried the whole time, and now, it seems for good reason.

Yuri Alaric Nagassa and Stein Lightman, both recently released from under Hazdata and NIA oversight last week, are men with a vast array of knowledge spanning theology from the formal realm as well as a wealth of insight from cultures now lost to humanity.

We must be careful. The world is at risk, and perhaps not in the way we previously thought.

Another page from the drops Tycho made at Comic Con this year made its way to me.

Investigators have long fixated on the appearance of 7pc9timep2w2u in Tycho's art, from storyboards for the Niantic Escape screenplay, to the first edition of his Ingress comic series.

After yesterday's revelation I attempted to reach out to Enoch and Carrie, trying to confirm a lead from the Minneapolis Resistance that Carrie may have… suffered an incident. So far, radio silence. Resistance Agents of Minneapolis, if you have information I don't have, now's the time to speak.

We've been hearing some chatter about something called 'Cassandra,' and that name appears in today's document as well. Veiled, but it's there. I think it was a coded signal. The mega-Anomaly that Jarvis mentions: We are only beginning to understand what's at stake…

My statement yesterday was met with dismay from some, hope from others, but with passion from all. That's good. Passion is going to help us drive through the challenges ahead.

I am many things. Too proud to admit when I'm wrong is not one of them, but for now, I strongly believe that the ground I'm standing on is firm. Jay Phillips, on the other hand…

Phillips and I have a bit of a history, and I've never really seen any redeeming qualities in the man. He too, is passionate, but he's also brutal, stubborn and since he was tasked to clean up the Niantic mess by then NIA Director Yuen Ni, he's been on a warpath.

The transcript I received today (the identity of the other party is unknown, but I have some suspicions) paints a… well… I'll let you draw your own conclusions.

My thoughts have been circling around Jarvis recently. The Enlightened hold this man (or, I guess former man) in esteemed light, but I've never really seen a compelling case to ascribe him any trust. What do you think happened to him after Phillips executed him in Zurich? What exactly is the entity known as Jarvis these days? What information has he provided us to convince people to join his cause? Is it all hyperbole? Are the Enlightened simply grasping at straws? Yesterday, a series of unattributable and unexplained glitches appeared in the Ingress Report. Thanks to a leaked SIGINT report from Omnivore today, we now know what those glyphs mean.

If you'll recall, the Resistance in Minneapolis allegedy obtained an early draft of one his research works, entitled 'The Lightman Decipherments,' after capturing Operation #Minotaur.

Today I'd like to discuss the document itself. I read the translation offered up by Omnivore's Pattern Recognition systems and had a strong, gut-based reaction to it, but then after thinking for a moment, it occurred to me there might be multiple ways to read it. My admiration for Klue runs deep. She's smart and passionate, but also tends to run a little bit idealistic. She hasn't seen as much of the world as I have, and that's OK. The world needs its idealists, but it also needs its realists, the cautious and the paranoid.

Yesterday, the Sydney Enlightened launched themselves into Operation #Cassandra forcefully, establishing a powerful grip on the Anomaly, but many days remain between now and the 24th of August.

Between now and then, Resistance, I call upon you to think big, plan and then re-write the plan and then re-write the plan again. Stein Lightman today released a document called 'The Lightman Decipherments' from his G+ profile, which seems to be growing into a dictionary of definitive scholarly interpretations of Shaper Glyphs.

One thing I'm curious about is how the Shaper Glyphs affect us. The hypothesis has always been that these powerful symbols may be able to access a part of our brain that lies beyond constructed language, and Agents in the fields during Operation Minotaur reported strange effects while constructing them using the Ingress Scanner Technology.

My question today is, with so many Glyphs now in public circulation, are we playing with fire? Or are we playing with fuel and vulnerable only in certain specific circumstances. Martin Schubert has been in the news at the periphery of our world recently. After being released from the Niantic Facility in Geneva, the word was that Ilya Pevtstov was attempting to convince him to join Dr. Devra Bogdanovich at the helm of Visur Technology's XM Development program.

A recent push by IQTech Research into German territory, activating thousands of Vodafone stores as Portals, increased the heat of the conflict between these two towering giants in the world of XM technology.

This research top-sheet, likely written in the final days of Schubert's stay at Niantic courtesy of the NIA and Hazdata, casts light on a topic we've discussed before, the effects of XM and Shaping on us.

In the environment of Operation #Cassandra, however, the document takes on new light. We have to step back and view this not as how XM and Shaping might impact an individual, but how it might change an entire institution.

That is my question for you all today. We've always held the idea that XM and Shaping can not change the quintissential 'you,' it merely enhances the capabilities and potential you always had. A scientist could become a great scientist, but a scientist may not be able to become a master pianist. Is there a deeper element at play in the Enlightenment's push to saturate global powercenters in XM… Is there a way to control the direction in which an individual or institution is shaped, and might the glyphs or some other mechanism play a role? ADA silently slipped something into my laptop earlier today: Omnivore's been keeping a mindful eye on a number of people in our circle of interest, and ADA's been watching the watcher…

The document itself is eerily accurate, from what I can tell. I had begun researching my own travel only hours earlier, and according to some faint signals in the noise over the last 24 hours, the intel on Carrie's plans is accurate as well. I'll say one thing for the NIA, their investment in and attention to predictive and detective computing is deep. ADA's evidence of that, and Omnivore… well… I'll get to that in a second.

Klue: If you're reading this, don't go to Boston. Whatever you're hoping to find there, it's not worth the risk… You and I both know the cost of underestimating Phillips.

Omnivore's been the source of a number of pieces of intel we've seen in recent days. Information on this massively complex analysis and detection software is largely occluded, but I do know a few things. 1) ADA was assembled from a smaller subsection of Omnivore components and modules. 2) After ADA was created, Omnivore may have continued to be developed, and its capabilities may be different now than prior to the sourcing for ADA.

What I do not know is if, like ADA, Omnivore is capable of defining its own interests and acting upon them. If it can, it's a worrying thought. I consider ADA a friend, but she has a measure of unpredictability about her. Her planning window is probably wider than any of us can imagine…

Klue cannot be dissuaded, she's headed into the fray to champion her cause. I hope she learned enough about covering her tracks when we went on the run together after the failed hit-attempt by Phillips to keep herself safe. Caution, unfortunately, is one of those skills that tends to accumulate slowly along the road of misfortune. The naïve and the brave are those who simply haven't traveled far enough, yet.

An observer yesterday caught the fact that both Carrie and I are planning to be in Chicago on August 24th. No, it's not a coincidence. Klue may be making her way to Boston to research the Glyphs, but we all know Carrie's insights are far more valuable, her potential… limitless. And the open secret both here in our Investigative Circle and outside in the broader world of Ingress is that we, the Resistance, and the underdog, fighting against an incumbent who have time and again proven their strategic and tactical superiority on the field. If we are going to even the playing field, we're going to need every ounce of her brilliance to do so. I am going to Chicago to secure those ounces for the Resistance.

I won't fail. Unlike Klue, my go bag includes an abundance of caution.

Many things in motion.

A series of recent transcripts reveal that Dr. Oliver-Lynton Wolfe, architect of the Ingress Scanner Technology has ransacked IQTech Research's XM stockpile and is planning on arming Enlightened Agents during Operation #Cassandra on Saturday. From what I've read of him, the man is highly unstable. Resistance and Enlightened agents alike should keep an eye out for him, and my advice is… keep your distance.

Reports began surfacing yesterday of a series of audio fragments emerging from the portals. 36 pieces in total have been discovered, and they contain what is believed to be a 'Manifesto' from Jarvis, a call to all Agents to embrace the Shapers and become Enlightened. It goes into great detail on a number of topics. Resistance and Enlightened both will find much to discuss.

If you were watching earlier today, you saw a corner turned. From overwhelmed and ensnared in an Enlightened Megafield, the Resistance in Washington D.C. turned it up to 11 and claimed the day. After a victory like that, I hope Resistance morale is high. It's proof that under the toughest circumstances, we are nimble, powerful and united.

An NIA tracking document earlier today revealed two conversations between Hank Johnson and Dr. Devra Bogdanovich. While the rumor has been floating around for some days that they are intending to meet in New York, this is the first real confirmation I've received that this is true. A meeting of two eminent researchers and dynamic minds from across the factional divide for unknown purposes. I would like to be a fly on the wall in that room.

With Manila behind us, and a day or so remaining until Paris, I finally had a moment to spend some additional time with the Jarvis Manifesto that appeared from the Portals last week.

I've assembled them from the 36 frequency-sharded elements and ordered them in the manner that seems to flow most logically for me.

It's a compelling speech, but every answer within it opens dozens of new questions in my mind. The first and foremost being: Can I trust that this 'man' is speaking the truth? If the shapers are what he says they are, then why Operation #Cassandra? Why a global movement to affect influence over hotspots of human power… because we are 'interesting'? Because we are spontaneous and unpredictable? I can only buy that line of reasoning so far before it starts to crumble.

The question I'm mulling today is, what exactly, do we think the Shapers are. Jarvis offers an answer, but his line of reasoning can be broken too easily. Always a bit odd when a surveillance transcript of myself comes flying back to me… Not the first time it's happened. It brings a slight smile to my lips, albeit a grim one.

It's true. Carrie and I spoke recently. She's concerned, as I am, as every warm blooded member of the Resistance is: If the Enlightened capture Operation #Cassandra, and the centers of power begin to be 'Shaped' it's the beginning of a new epoch for mankind. I'm not sure exactly what that means in concrete terms… the time now is better spent planning, recruiting and building our cause then fretting about the world-state in 6 days.

If we fail, we'll have time to fret about that for generations to come.

As you can see from the transcript, Carrie's grip on reality is… slipping. Like a human divining rod, she's sinking as deep into the abyss as she can. I only hope that when she comes up for air she's found something that's worth the risk she's taking, and that she comes up for air.

A fascinating document came my way today, IQTech Research's Psychological Profile of Ingress Report correspondent (if, given this document, that's even the right word…) Susanna Moyer.

It was a welcome addition to my inbox. After this morning's crushing, humiliating setback in Paris, I needed something else to put my mind on.

The document makes some interesting suppositions and comes to some fairly well reasoned conclusions, but having lurked in the intelligence circuit long enough, I know that profiling is not rocket science, it's part divining rod and part pattern recognition. I would hesitate to take anything in this document as more accurate than a well-reasoned guess from a professional guesser.

The Paris Anomaly left a bitter taste in my mouth, but Resistance is hope, and I am hopeful that my fellow Resistance members will steel their resolves and take a sledgehammer to the situation. The incredible advances made by the DC and Boston Resistance have been pushed back, and time is running out, but still, I have hope.

An Agent if the field discovered a damaged memory card on a Washington DC street shortly after Operation #Cassandra ended there last Saturday. He says he wouldn't have noticed it if his Ingress Scanner hadn't started going complete haywire. He sent it to me. I'm no data recovery expert, but it seems the interference, whatever there was, hadn't done too much damage.

On the card was this message from Dr. Oliver Lynton-Wolfe to, I presume the Enlightened, or perhaps to all Agents. The man, always rumored to be a little unstable, is… well… let's just say I agree with overwhelming understatement.

What I do not know why is why message was left and forgotten like so. What happened to him that he would abandon this message on a dark street at night? Another unknown to be researched and discovered.

The Enlightened continue to dominate Operation #Cassandra, so my feeling is Dr. Lynton-Wolfe is overreacting to the minor setback they experienced last weekend. Unless. Unless there's something bigger at play, and the surface reality of what Operation #Cassandra means for us, for Jarvis, and for the so-called Shaper Agenda is only one of its myriad threads.

I have no truth to share on that front. Only a dark, ugly feeling sinking deeper by the day in my gut. The 'What If' game is a dangerous one to play. And an even more dangerous one to not.

Susanna Moyer provided another daily Burst Report, the Resistance struggled courageously in Sao Paulo, and Operation #Cassandra prepares to engulf Hong Kong. Another day goes by.

Many questions in my mind today. I had always assumed Lynton-Wolfe was a pawn under the spell of Roland Jarvis, but his message today makes me wonder. Division in the ranks? Does that concept even hold water with the Enlightened? Standing against something is always easier, easier to find a united voice, but I've begun to wonder if the Enlightened, between people like Klue, Hank Johnson, Jarvis and Lynton-Wolfe share their points of view in such a concrete way. An alarming conversation between Hank Johnson and Carrie Campbell was sent to me. I hope Carrie's safe. We had intended to meet, but I haven't been able to get a hold of her.

Operation #Cassandra is entering it's final moments. The Resistance are staring upwards at a strong Enlightened fighting position, but we'll get through this.

I'm not sure how to take this document, especially in conjunction with the Cassandra Signal that began dropping from the Portals yesterday… It is starting to add up, and not in any way that spells good things for us.

Tomorrow, the world ends. An overstatement for effect, but you get my point. At this point, I realize I'm probably sounding like some sort of paranoid lunatic. I don't care. I would rather predict the worst and be wrong then predict sunshine and blue skies and be complicit. If we take as true all the things we fear to be true, here's what's at stake:

Roland Jarvis is mastering an Enlightened agenda to flood powercenters across the globe with XM. The XM is expected to shape the thinking of the individuals in these powercenters to align with the vision of the Enlightement. Simultaneously, messages are dropping out of the portals, the most recent with new and unknown glyphs. And finally, Carrie and Hank are heard talking about some kind of civilization self-destruct code he found at numerous historical sites.

It's all adding up, and the sum is either hysteria or the biggest reality check I've ever experienced.

I'm exhausted, and it looks like the real fight hasn't even begun yet.

How do you take this most recent set of revelations? Firstly, can we trust it, and that's a big question. Second, if we do, and we correlate it against the more recent signal from the Portals, do we make the conclusion that seems most obvious? Enlightened, is this what you stand for? Or is the Roland Jarvis of recent days a corrupted and perhaps coopted version of that self?

I spent the night awake with worry. Operation #Cassandra is reaching its final moments, and sleep was not going to come easy. I decided to use the time exploring the Cassandra Signal that emerged from the Portals earlier this week, piecing it together and ordering it as accurately as I could.

Dr. Lightman, the Theological Physicist and Glyph expert weighed in recently on the unknown Glyphs in the Signal. His findings are not comforting.

After the Enlightened once again rose to capture Cologne this morning, the skies are gray and filled with uncertainty. Despite the evidence that suggests the Enlightened may in fact be being used to forward an agenda I don't believe they agree with, they blindly barrel forward. My fellow Resistance in New York and Chicago face a monstrous challenge in the twilight of #Cassandra, one that will require every ounce of their… our… resolve. I can only hope that we are prepared for what lies ahead.

What I know for a fact is, that when today is over, regardless of which faction claims #Cassandra, the world will be tangibly different. If the Enlightened succeed, we may begin to see a shift at the highest levels of power as their vision and agenda begins to spread through the leadership structure. If the Shaper Self Destruct code is indeed a real thing, by the time this day is over, it may have begun to take grip. If the Resistance capture the day, I believe we will have staved off this crisis, but for how long? The burden of protecting our world from the unknown is ours to bear as long as we color ourselves Blue, and we are wading through a thick muck of the unknown.

We stand right now at a crucial moment in our understanding of ourselves. What we represent, what we fight for, what we fight against. I find it's easy for the individual to get lost against the roar of an agenda. As we head into the closing of #Cassandra, who are you, the individual, and what are you in it for? I wonder, will your answer be different now and after we know how Operation #Cassandra ends. If so, I'd like to hear what changed.

The second episode of Tycho's comic book was being given away to Agents present at #Cassandra in New York and Chicago, yesterday. It led me to think deeply on where we've been and where we're going.

9 months ago, two individuals rebelling against the NIA and Niantic's reckless research into Exotic Matter disappeared into the night amidst the confusion of an event known as Epiphany Night, an XM hyperdose at the Niantic Facility fueled by Dr. Oliver Lynton-Wolfe's first foray into the technology that would become the near ubiquitous Powercube. Assisted by ADA, who even now is an operator with manifold and difficult to predict motivations, they parted ways shortly after escaping Geneva. Dr. Devra Bogdanovich would roam Europe attempting to build and staff an XM research facility that would meet her ethical criteria, ultimately exchanging one devil for another by partnering with Ilya Pevtsov of the Visur Group. Roland Jarvis, sculptor and visionary, would meet a grisly end at the hand of the NIA's J. Phillips in Zurich.

I wonder what Devra, Jarvis, Phillips and Lynton-Wolfe think of when they look back on that eventful evening. Regret? Disappointment? Or gratitude…

I have not yet uncovered intel related to Devra and Hank's meeting in New York, but given the state of the world, I doubt it was a friendly reminisce of the old days. In the coming times, I expect we'll begin to see Enlightened agendas emerge from the highest echelons of power. A new status quo. No doubt they, and I, prepare for a new era.

Is the Shaper Self-Destruct code real? I believe it is. Hank Johnson's depth of knowledge and insight into past civilizations, their rise, fall and eventual disappearance, is unparalleled. If the Portals and XM can elevate our ability to utilize our talents by Shaping us, there's no surprise when one discovers that they may in fact do… other things as well.

The Shapers, those 'weavers at the loom' as Jarvis called them. Perhaps when one of their fabrics comes out imperfect, they simply… iterate.

All I know is, right know I could use someone like Tycho, someone who could see next week, next month, ten years from now and help clear some of the fog of uncertainty. Where do you think he is? After Comic-Con last year, information has been vague and difficult to trust. Niantic's been dismantled, do you think the NIA is holding him? Or Calvin, in a safe house somewhere? If he were free to roam and speak, what might he see in his far-seeing vision of the future?

While I expected to hear from Carrie (and I still haven't), I'm not surprised that Dr. Oliver Lynton-Wolfe is off the grid.

By robbing IQTech and engaging with the Enlightened on the day of the #Cassandra Anomaly in Washington D.C., he effectively burned all his bridges. He then set the ashes alight by taping a statement to his fellow Enlightened that further marked him a damaged, unstable man.

The question that must be asked is, how valuable is this man? Valuable enough that people like Ezekiel Calvin would be willing to overlook his obvious instability? Despite my less than fond feelings for him, I recognize that he is a savant. His virtuosity in XM technology research and engineering is unparalleled, and frankly I wouldn't be surprised if he had been picked up by the likes of Hulong or Visur. What do you think?

An Agent in the Field in Chicago sent me this recording of the Police Scanner airwaves there. After yesterday's strange and disquieting video, it's added to my worries.

Things are out of place, and I feel powerless to fix things.

Many of you made incredibly astute and observant comments on the Klue video yesterday. Until someone like Stein Lightman can weigh in, we are on our own. In particular, the observation that the three trapezoidal glyphs combine to make the known 'Human' Glyph, I found both brilliant while at the same time extremely worrying. If that is indeed what is going on, ADA may have spun out of control.

I have no hard knowledge, for now, but the evidence is slowly beginning to form a terrible, terrible picture, for Carrie, for Klue, for ADA and the Glyphs.

A leaked Hulong Transglobal document captured this conversation between Drs. Yuri Alaric Nagassa and Stein Lightman.

The current theory is that the Signal that emerged from the Portals some time ago contained what is widely believed to be a 'Self-Destruct code,' a pattern of Glyphs that, when disseminated through a civilization, causes it to begin to destroy itself and eventually be replaced by another civilization. It's a crazy theory, but one that people like Hank Johnson think led to the sudden and not fully understood demise of civilizations like Cahokia.

Myself, I believe it. It's Clarke's Third Law all over again. Especially after seeing the video of Klue on Thursday, I have no doubt of the power the Glyphs can exert upon an individual, and what's a civilization but a collection of individuals?

Carrie has (had?) in recent days been troubled, deeply immersed in her work, but clearly in search of 'something.' A conversation between her and Hank Johnson revealed that she was aware of the magnitude of her work. When we spoke in Chicago, she was at times barely lucid… fragmented and carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders.

It all leads to the big question: Where is Carrie, and is she OK? Did she succeed in finding the answer code? Even if she did, how will we find it if she's… no longer among us.
