+enoch dalby has released a new track titled Duplicity.
The message he chose to accompany it speaks to those of use who have to struggle with the difficulty of inner conflict. This is something I empathize with deeply, and I'm sure I'm not alone.
As usual, Dalby has released individual instrument stems to encourage all other Agents and Investigators to use them as ingredients for expressing their own creativity.
Hidden within the tracks, however, I discovered a deeper, darker secret. That secret is deserving of cold analysis as we prepare for what lies ahead.

Hidden inside the new music released by +enoch dalby yesterday was a warning to the Enlightened explorer, +Hank Johnson.
Within the spectrograph of one of the individual tracks, an encoded URL led to this document. Read between the lines, and you'll see that someone, and I think I know who, is playing a dangerous game with one of the most important XM researchers around.
Who's behind this, and why? Why does Hank Johnson represent a threat and why go to such extreme measures to stop him? What do you think the fallout of this will be?

Earlier today, investigators were able to decode the source of the hit order on +Hank Johnson. The information was hidden within the 'ORDERED BY' section of the document, Vignere encoded using 'IQTECH' as the key.
When I discovered this, I began to dig, and uncovered some additional intel. I can confirm that it does indeed seem that Lorazon is behind this, and his right hand Devitt seems to want in as well. It's unclear as of now how far up the chain of command this goes.
What do you think? Lorazon claims he's operating behind Calvin's back, but that seems to be an unthinkably brazen move… Is he covering for him? What about the NIA? Are they involved? Do the motivations to remove Hank Johnson from the field extend to others in the circle of power? If they succeed, what will the repercussions be?

Calvin is in the clear, or so it seems. It seemed unlikely to me that Calvin would support a violent action against his long-time collaborator +Hank Johnson, but the evidence was ambiguous. This transcript, if true, places the blame squarely on Lorazon.
My feeling is we are witnessing something greater than an assassination attempt. Lorazon's brazen insubordination could potentially be the beginning of an elaborate power-play. If the political chips land in his favor, he demonstrates leadership to the powers that be and may leverage that to unseat Calvin at the helm of +IQTech Research.
What are your thoughts? Is this transcript real? Can Calvin be trusted to be the voice of the reason? What about Lorazon… if this is the beginning, where will it end?

For the last few months, Calvin and Owen have been slowly building an ideological alliance. Now, they prepare to make their move.
While both these intelligence operators share the patriotic fervor of people like Jay Phillips, their vision of how their power and influence emerges is more nuanced. Against difficult odds, they are trying to bring the NIA into the information age.
While we know who's behind the hit order on +Hank Johnson, +Susanna Moyer's contract has never been traced back. By reaching out to all the players in the circle of power, they are hoping that, somewhere, the right recipient will get the message and perhaps stand down.
What's invisible to us is the political complexity of this gambit. Institutions are slow to change, mindsets even slower, and power always seeks to preserve itself. Lorazon is placing all his chips on this side of the table, hoping that Calvin and Owen will fail and create opportunities for his own advancement.
My question for you today is a complex one, and I hope that Investigators who've studied the intel more deeply will be able to assist those who are still getting their feet wet: How has the revelation of the +Niantic Project and the emergence and global spread of the +Ingress Scanner app changed the character of the NIA and its leadership? How did the emergence of the Corporations evolve the balance of power? Have the Corporations themselves experienced shifts in character and power since their emergence in the world of XM Technology? Based on this, can we predict what lies ahead?

Yesterday we discussed how the nature of influence and the character of the major centers of power in the world of +Ingress has evolved.
The NIA, attempting to free itself of its simplistic and brutal methods of secrecy, +Hulong Transglobal probing deeper into the more dangerous aspects of XM research with no regard to the consequences, +IQTech Research retreating into the safety of a nationalistic agenda and reaffirming a position loyal to the NIA and the US Government. +Visur Technology, of them all, has the least obvious pattern.
We've seen this transcript before, prior to translation by NIA operatives, although our Investigative community clearly excelled in extracting much of the nuanced subject matter in its own translation efforts.
Ilya Pevtsov, and by extension Visur, seek nothing else than an overhaul of the structure of human life.
Clarke's Third Law (“Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic”) comes up often in our conversations, but his Second Law is equally appropriate at times like this: “The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.”
If one could access the XM Patterns of any individual (at any time) as +Yuri Alaric Nagassa's speculation suggests, what would you do with such power? What technologies do you think will emerge as access and expertise within this realm spreads? How will these new technological opportunities shape and morph the human experience? New music from our friend +enoch dalby, and hidden within it, a question that I've never been able to find the answer for.
The voices that emerge from within the song are familiar, the question they pose is so fundamentally contentious that it forms the root of the ideological faction in the world of +Ingress.
Would we be where we are as a species without the Shapers? Is our domination of the natural environment the result of external manipulation? How far back does the change go? If ADA and +Hank Johnson are in pursuit of Ancient Artifacts that may contain powers that even now science holds elusive, are the Portals enhancing us or crippling us… holding us back from a destiny that the ancients held in their grasp?

Lorazon continues his pursuit, but +Stein Lightman is savvy enough to call his bluff. One of the interesting pieces of information to emerge here is Lightman's current location. It's logical to me, but I welcome your thoughts as well, particularly if you have theories on the specific lines of research he might be pursuing.
It's unclear to me if Lightman is protecting +Hank Johnson or simply not in the know. In addition, while there have been a number of archeological findings in the Miami area, I'm not sure which one in particular may have been the site Mazz was seen scouting. And why send Mazz? Is Hank paralyzed by the threats against him, or moving chess pieces until the time is right to make his move?

I received this from an anonymous source earlier today… It seems Tycho has been working on another glimpse into the Present at a different time.

The information in here is packed so densely that I've only just begun to make sense of what they are speaking about.
It will require the assistance of the elite members of this Investigative Community to help the rest of parse the discoveries within this document. +Operation Essex, I'm looking at you. I also recall another conversation somewhere in the Niantic Archives that seems to connect to this. I'll have to dig a bit to locate it. What are Nagassa and Lightman getting at in their conversation? I'm doing all I can to obtain the rest of this asset.

Here's the second page of the conversation from yesterday.
It brings to the surface some nodes that we we've been tracking, but haven't yet found the connective tissue between:
Artifacts. Alexander's Quest. Prophecies of rising and falling civilizations, and at this end of the spectrum, Hank Johnson, ADA and the search for immortality.
Investigators, I have two challenges for you today:
First, based on the assumption that +Hank Johnson may be using Alexander's life and journeys as a map into the past, can we speculate as to what places he may have visited recently? We know he was in Afghanistan and Berlin, but where else? Second, can we connect what's known of Alexander's life, journey and conquests to what's known of 13MAGNUS, the Shaper Glyphs and, for lack of a better word, the 'Immortality' Artifacts?

+Devra Bogdanovich surfaced yesterday in the aftermath of the discovery of Glyphs in the +Ingress Scanner app. I received this transcript today. I don't know if it preceded yesterday's discoveries, but it's interesting that after a long period of silence, Devra surfaces not once but twice. It could be nothing, or it could be that something's afoot. I don't know the answer to that question yet.
Devra and Calvin opened the floodgates, discussing a number of topics. I can see in their conversation some of the comfort and openness that must have been the cornerstone of their working relationship at Niantic.
There are a number of topics worth exploring here, and I welcome discussion on all of them, but there's one sentence in particular that I'm personally focusing on: “God knows what Jarvis is, but it's something not natural.” And simply for the sake of discussion, I pose the question… What if it is? What would that mean for us?

Yesterday, a rumor surfaced that Tycho was planning on releasing an entirely new comic. It's not clear yet what period in the Niantic Investigation his work will reveal, but another image came to the surface today that might help…
Any guesses who we're looking at here? Anyone know what happened to Tycho after the NIA grabbed him at Comic-Con before the Niantic Project even came to light?
A #Recursion Anomaly is expected to strike Bangalore later tonight… One of the interesting bits of research I came across while trying to figure out the connection to the Artifacts was that the civilization present at Bangalore may have been trading with Roman civilizations around 27BCE, and there's evidence that Stone and Iron Age civilizations existed in the area going much, much further back. Did Alexander ever make it there? Is there any evidence of Glyphs or XM/Portal impact on the history, art or culture of that area?

One of +Misty Hannah's sources sent her a warning. Looks like we were right when we flagged +Susanna Moyer as the likely perpetrator in the Vegas hit at the beginning of February.
This transcript confirms that the body discovered was Lucky Louie. It seems that fears that this may have been a coverup of a hit on +Hank Johnson were unfounded.
A relief, although there have been other warning signs.
The transcript seems to circle around a previous conflict between Misty and the man named Potts. Do we have any other evidence to shed light on their relationship? Misty's been silent for a long time… Who is she, exactly? What do we know about her?

Tycho's reappearance has brought to surface the conflict simmering within the NIA.
The old guard, Jay Phillips, believes that secrecy must be preserved at all costs. The renegade Ken Owen, on the other hand, is all about hiding in plain sight, leveraging the inherent unreal quality of the information emerging from the Niantic Project to allow it to be perceived as a mere fiction by the general populace.
Reading between the lines, it seems Owen may have had a hand in extricating Tycho from the NIA after his abduction from Comic-Con 2012. Nearly two years ago. Time flies.
I'm not familiar with +Susanna Moyer's interruption at the Dice conference in Las Vegas, but what's interesting is that it seems that the divide between Susanna and what I assumed to be a part of her past, the NIA, may be narrower than we believed. It could be that even now Susanna remains a fully functional operator working for NIA purposes, but I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt… Having brushed shoulders with the intelligence community in a past life, I can attest to the fact that once you've been let in to the world of secrets and espionage, you can never truly get out.
What are your thoughts? What's Susanna's relationship with the NIA? Does anyone know about this so-called interruption? Looking back on the year of near constant leaks from the world of +Ingress, who's strategy would have been wiser, Phillips' or Owen's? I've been able to track down two of the new Tycho images… are there more?

Working to confirm this is really him and not an infiltration of his dormant account.
No word directly from him to me and by the time I noticed he was already offline again.

Update 1:
If you aren't familiar with P. A. Chapeau, he is in fact the reason this investigation exists.
Back in November 2012, PA created a site called nianticproject.com to monitor leaks emerging related to +Ingress, +Niantic Project, and Exotic Matter.
We later learned that he was in fact +H. Richard Loeb, a contractor hired by Niantic to assist in the development of ADA, particularly in her 'humanization' process.
After a long struggle with the fallout from his investigation, particularly the death of +Carrie Campbell and a falling out with +Klue S. , and on the advice of +Misty Hannah, he decided to go off the grid. He was attempting to disconnect himself from the investigation and our world in order to regain his sense of well-being.
This was in October. He handed the reigns of the Investigation to me and then disappeared.

We haven't heard from him since, until today…

An encoded message was embedded in the two photos uploaded to the profile:

She responded on his G+ Profile post, also in code, as follows:

Based on this, it seems likely that +Klue S. will attempt to communicate with +H. Richard Loeb's contact in Nashville during the Anomaly on Saturday….

All eyes on this, Investigators… much to be learned here.
First, this confirms my suspicions that +Klue S. will be in Nashville, attempting to contact PAC's ally there.
In addition, it verifies that the chirps emerging from +H. Richard Loeb's G+ profile yesterday were actually him. I don't know why he hasn't responded directly to me. He's always been a mysterious operator, so I trust he has his reasons.
Brandt has been under our lens most recently for being the author of the 'ABOLENDAM' series of documents. It seems now that those transcripts were the tip of an iceberg… Brandt is attempting to stir up the political will to contain or destroy ADA, perhaps AIs in general. The one thing I'm glad of is that Lorazon's trigger finger is being kept in check. The last thing we need is him spinning up another batch of cleaners.
Why are Brant and Lorazon working together? Who are they working for? We know their objectives but not their motives. What do they hope to gain by surveilling Klue and PAC's interactions? How might their relationship be used to assist a long term plot against ADA?

Anyone remember Andy Nominus?
Early in the Niantic Investigation, a short section of a screenplay emerged penned by someone with that name (likely a pseudonym). The screenplay, in details that were later verified by other sources, told the story of Epiphany Night and Jarvis and +Devra Bogdanovich's escape from the Niantic Facility.
A sensitive with the gift of prescience, like Tycho, Nominus was channeling visions of a the future years before these events actually took place. The script was shopped around Hollywood for a while before ultimately being shelved. Some of the pages were recovered early in the Investigation and shared by PAC at that time. Storyboards, drawn by Tycho (small world…) also surfaced. They too only covered the pages discovered initially. It was believed that the rest of the screenplay was lost.
Turns out, that wasn't the case. An anonymous source reached out to me, claiming to have a copy of many more of the pages, perhaps the entire screenplay itself.
Here is his first shipment. It sheds light on +Misty Hannah's past… a moment we'd heard about but never seen in detail. Lucky Louie makes an appearance. As does J. A. Potts. They've both been under out lens recently.
If the screenplay author's other visions are as accurate as his depiction of Epiphany Night, we're about to learn a whole lot more about some of the incidents that shaped the future Niantic Researchers…

Most interesting.
Someone in Karachi, Pakistan came across a lost camera from +Hank Johnson's #13MAGNUS Nomad shoot.
I've chatted with him directly and confirmed that it is real, but haven't been able to persuade him to release the contents.
I think he's holding out for some monetary compensation…
According to him, the footage on the device 'must be seen to be believed.'
